Professor Darko Zibar, group leader of Machine Learning in Photonics Systems (M- LiPS) group, will be responsible for supervision of DRs and support of other DRs where the focus is on the development of fast and effective machine learning algorithms. His commitment to the project is 50% FTE. His expertise is in the field of photonic communication and measurement systems, with special emphasis on the application of machine learning techniques for monitoring, sensing, optimization and mitigation of transmission impairments. He has large experience with supervision of graduate students and also projects in collaboration with industry.
