Dr. Igor Koltchanov is an internationally renowned expert in the field of modelling and design of fiber optics, semiconductor lasers, integrated photonics and optical communications. During his 20+ years with VPIphotonics he contributed tremendously to the fundamental modelling capabilities and sophisticated design features of VPIs simulation tool suite. For many years, he is leading as Director Technology the modelling and specification team, and serves as Group Leader – Advanced Physics and fiber Optics. Igor has co-authored over 75 publications, holds one patent and contributed to many European and national R&D programs.
