Imran Khan
KEEQuant
Imran Khan is the managing director of KEEQuant. He is a physicist by training and has been doing his PhD work (research done, thesis to be submitted), at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light, Erlangen, Germany under the supervision of PD Dr. Christoph Marquardt and Prof. Dr. Gerd Leuchs. He has been working in QKD system development since 2009, especially focusing on the field of continuous- variable QKD, as one of the leading technologists of the field. He has co-supervised three bachelor thesis, two master thesis and one PhD thesis. He has chaired the technical management team for the H2020-OPENQKD project, deploying QKD testbeds all over Europe. He participated as a member of the steering committee of the H2020 quantum flagship project CiViQ. He was responsible as a QKD system lead for the German BMBF project QuNET and has contributed to numerous quantum communication and information. research projects during his career. He is a founding member of the German Industry Association for Quantum Security. In the project, Imran Khan and the KEEQuant team will educate the doctoral researchers with a balance of quantum communication fundamentals and technological advancements to ensure excellent research work
