Dr. Jeremie Renaudier a distinguished member of technical staff in optical WDM transmission systems and is the head of the Optical Transmission Department at Nokia Bell Labs, France. He received the M.S. degree in optical communications and networks from Telecom Bretagne, Brest, France in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree from the Telecom Paris, Paris, France, in 2006. His Ph.D. thesis dealt with the application of optical nonlinear effects in compound semiconductor devices for high bit rate systems. His current research interest focuses on tripling the optical bandwidth of optical systems using 100+nm-wide semiconductor optical amplifiers to cope with the ceaseless growth of data traffic in optical networks. He has authored or co-authored over 180 journal and conference papers, and holds over 30 patents in optical communications. He is a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff in Nokia Bell Labs and is currently heading the high speed optical transmission Department.
