Dr Marcin Jarzyna received his PhD degree from the University of Warsaw, Poland in 2016. Currently, he is working at the Centre for Quantum Optical Technologies hosted by the Centre of New Technologies, University of Warsaw. His research focuses on quantum and classical communication with emphasis on realistic modulation, transmission, and detection scenarios, especially in the weak signal regime. He has served as a reviewer for a number of journals, including Nature Physics, Physical Review Letters, Optics Express, IEEE Transactions on Communications, and New Journal of Physics from which he received the Outstanding Reviewer Award for 2017
