Rob Thew is a senior researcher and group leader of the Quantum Technologies group at the University of Geneva. He studied at the University of Queensland in Australia, and received his PhD from the University of Geneva, Switzerland. Rob Thew is an expert in quantum communication, spanning fundamental to applied topics, and from technology development to systems integration as well as working on quantum sensing in bio and molecular systems. He was the inaugural chair of the Strategic Research Agenda Work Group in the context of the European Quantum Flagship initiative and is the founding Editor-in-Chief for the IOP journal: Quantum Science and Technology.
